Chris looking forward to the big match atmosphere
Chris Weale insists picking up three points against Sheffield United on Saturday is more important to him than the fact the match falls on his birthday.
The consistent Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper turns 31 on the day the Blades pay their first visit to the Greenhous Meadow - and helping Town to another big win is his main ambition.
"My birthday's any other day for me because it's a joy to live every day really," said Weale. "It's just a number really, my birthday, and it just happens to be on a Saturday.
"Yes, it would be lovely to get the three points, but it would be lovely to get the three points the following Friday night at Tranmere as well."
Weale, the former Leicester City goalkeeper, added the match against Sheffield United was one to really look forward to.
"You want to play against the best teams and test yourselves against the best teams," he said. "Hopefully it will be a very good atmosphere here and they'll bring a few.
"We're on a good little run. We've only lost two in the last 14 so we just need to keep trying to play football and entertain the crowd.
"I know it was frustrating in the previous home game against Bury as maybe the entertainment value wasn't there.
"Supporters pay a lot of money to come and watch us so hopefully we can put on an entertaining performance for the crowd and hopefully get three points as well."
