CST courses for the February half-term
Shrewsbury Town's Community Sports Trust, headed by former club captain Brian Williams, have organised more of their popular football coaching courses for the February half term holiday.
Open to boys and girls aged between four and 14, a five-day course has been arranged for the Power League pitches next to the Greenhous Meadow and there will also be a three-day course for youngsters aged five to 14 at Wem Cricket Club.
The Power League course on the astro-turf pitches runs from Monday, February 18 through to Friday, February 22, with each child receiving two children's match tickets for a Town game if they are booked on the course for a minimum of three days.
The sessions each day run from 9am until 3pm and a place for each of the five days costs £65. It is otherwise £18 per day.
Half day sessions for the week are also available at £35 for five mornings (9am-12noon) or £10 each morning - or £50 for five longer sessions (10.30am-3pm) or £14 for each four and a half hour slot.
The Wem Cricket Club course, for boys and girls, runs from Tuesday, February 19 through to Thursday, February 21 from 10.30am until 3pm.
The cost of the course which will be held on grass is £35 for the three days - with each youngster receiving two child match tickets for a Greenhous Meadow match - or a daily rate of £14.
All players must bring PE/football kit, shin pads, a change of clothes and a packed lunch. The main aim of the courses is to improve and develop individual skills and an understanding of positional and team play in a fun and safe environment.
There is also the chance to win medals, trophies and footballs.
Weekly coaching centres also take place at the Power League pitches each Saturday morning from 9.30am to 11am at a cost of £5 per session.
Monday's Development Centre session run from 4.45-5.45pm and is £5 weekly or £20 for five weeks.
There are also Football Fridays between 4pm-5pm at a cost of £5 per session or £20 for five weeks.
