Tickets selling well for Saturday

Big crowd expected for visit of the Blades

Update: Ticket sales are well over the 6,500 mark and we are expecting our biggest crowd of the season - if you are getting a ticket before the game please give yourself a little extra time.  The ticket office is open until 6pm on Friday and then opens again at 10am on Saturday.

Tickets are selling well for Saturday's attractive home clash against Sheffield United.

The Blades have sold out their allocation of just over 1,400 tickets and Shrewsbury supporters have also been snapping up plenty of tickets.

The current best home crowd this season is 6,495 for the victory over Walsall in October and we hope that figure may be beaten this weekend.

"It's an exciting game, probably the biggest of the season in terms of the opposition," said Sean Evans, ticket office supervisor at the Greenhous Meadow.

"It was the first fixture many of our supporters looked for last summer and the fact that Sheffield United have sold out the away end will only add to the atmosphere.

"Business has been brisk at the ticket office this week and we expect that to hopefully continue leading up until kick off on Saturday."

The ticket office will be open until 5pm today, between 9am and 6pm on Friday and from 10am until kick off on Saturday.

Tickets can also be purchased over the phone on (01743) 273943 and online at http://www.shrewsburyfc.talent-sport.co.uk/
