RAF allow Town to get away from the weather
The Shrewsbury Town squad were put through their places once again at nearby RAF Shawbury earlier this week with a tough day of training ahead of Saturday's important home game against Bury.
The club have established close links with the local RAF base and manager Graham Turner said he was pleased to take his players there once again.
He added it was all the more timely given the difficulty all clubs, not just Shrewsbury, face with staging training sessions given the current cold snap which is sweeping the country.
"We had a good day at Shawbury," said GT. "They've got the big hangar so we could train indoors.
"They've got the gyms, they've got PTIs and we did some work.
"It was different for the players as the PTIs got them going a bit so it was a physial day and a change of scene."
Captain Matt Richards added: "The weather conditions have made it really hard to train anywhere and RAF Shawbury were nice enough to let us use their facilities.
"We had a good session there - it always is good but hard work."
