Grandison wants more clean sheets

Jermaine looking for more shut outs from the defence

Jermaine Grandison is determined to do all he can to help Shrewsbury Town keep moving in the right direction ahead of this weekend's home game with Hartlepool United.

Grandison and Darren Jones have hit it off as a central defensive partnership with a run of clean sheets providing a platform for an improved run of results.

"We've had clean sheets in each of the last three games which is really good and hopefully we can keep that going now," said Grandison, who is not taking the challenge Hartlepool will provide lightly.

"When you look at the league, if someone's at the bottom you can think it's going to be an easy game, but there's no easy games in this league," he warned. "We've just got to go into the game up for it and get the three points.

"We conceded in the last minute when we drew 2-2 at Hartlepool earlier in the season. Hopefully we can put it right this weekend and get the three points."

Grandison added he was pleased with his current form having moved from right back to the heart of the back four.

"I think I've been improving on my game and I've been really enjoying it," he said. "We've been getting some decent results as well."
