Keeper Goes Out On Loan

Joe Anyon joins Macclesfield Town on short term loan

Joe Anyon has joined Macclesfield Town on a short term loan ahead of their important FA Cup tie with Wigan Athletic.

Macclesfield keeper Lance Cronin has broken his thumb in training and Joe has joined on a 7 day loan to provide emergency cover for this weekend’s big game at the Moss Rose.

It will be a great opportunity for Joe to show what he can do and manager Graham Turner is pleased that his keeper has got the chance to help out Macclesfield:”Joe Anyon has joined Macclesfield Town on a 7 days emergency goalkeeper loan.

“They have been unfortunate that their keeper has broken his thumb in training and they’ve got a massive big game at home to Premiership side Wigan in the FA Cup.

“For Joe is it a terrific occasion and what a game to go into on a loan, he’s looking forward to it with relish and it’s a great challenge and we hope he does well for Macclesfield.

“Joe has been a model professional for us and has been patient for his chance, has worked hard with Gavin Ward and now has this chance to show what he can do in the spotlight.”
