Championship midfielder joins on loan
Town have confirmed the signing of 24 year old midfielder Stephen McGinn on loan from Championship wide Watford until the end of the season.
Glasgow born McGinn started his career with SPL side St Mirren after progressing through the youth ranks at the club. He made over 70 appearances for the Paisley club as well being capped at U19 and U21 for Scotland.
The loan deal has gone through in time for Stephen to be in consideration for Town’s trip to Scunthorpe on Saturday.
It gives manager Graham Turner another good option in midfield ahead of the important game:”Stephen moved to Watford after coming through the ranks at St Mirren and doing really well for them in the SPL in some big games.
“He picked up an injury at Watford which kept him out action for a while, he’s raring to go now and we’ve taken him on loan until the end of the season.
“He is a good midfield player with a good eye for a pass and he chips in with some important goals.”
Stephen McGinn has been allocated squad number 15.
