The cost of playing the National Lottery may be about to rise but closer to home Shrewsbury Town's Gold Bond continues to represent excellent value for money at just £1 a week.
It could net you as much as £10,000 which is the amount Town fan Phil Boyce, from Castlefields in Shrewsbury, scooped last year.
Phil won the star prize in the Gold Bond lottery when he was drawn as the winner at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road ground, with the link with the Seasiders provided through Shrewsbury Town's Gold Bond lottery being one of several run by Football League clubs to be affiliated to Blackpool FC's lottery.
It's a successful association which guarantees bigger cash prizes.
Each year three people are picked at random from the participating clubs' lottery data base and it was Phil's good fortune to not only be selected for the grand draw - but to then win it at a VIP day out at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road ground.

You can join up to Town's Gold Bond with three minimum membership periods to choose from with great benefits.
