West Bromwich Albion take on Atromitos at GM

The Greenhous Meadow will stage a friendly between West Bromwich Albion and top Greek club Atromitos Monday 29th July at 7.30pm.

Work is continuing on Albion's pitch at The Hawthorns and Shrewsbury Town have been happy to step in and host the game.

The fixtures is one of West Brom’s first team pre-season matches fielding potential players such as new signing Nicolas Anelka, the experienced French international, set to be among the big names gracing the Meadow.

Athens-based Atromitos finished fourth in the Greek Super League last season. Their squad includes a number of Greece internationals plus players from the likes of Argentina, Brazil and Portugal.

The game takes place at the Greenhous Meadow home on Monday, July 29 with a 7:30pm kick-off.

Fans can pay on the night but will need to purchase tickets from the tricket office before going to the turnstile as no cash on turnstiles.

Stadium Parking

Parking at the Greenhous Meadow (subject to availability) £5

Park and Walk

Sutton Grange (SY2 6QL) £6.50 - around 5 minute walk but tickets must be purchsed from the Greenhous Meadow ticket office before parking.
Brooklands and Pritchards (SY3 9JT) £5 – both are about 10 minute walk to the stadium.


Town centre bus from the Bus Station run by Tanent Valley leave at

Then pick-up from Shirehall Park and Ride – (SY2 6ND) – en route to the stadium.
