Sunday 28th July will be the annual open day
Shrewsbury Town will throw open the doors of the Greenhous Meadow for the club's annual Open Day on Sunday, July 28 from 10am to 3pm.
Always a popular date in the calendar, this will be a chance for supporters to meet the players and manager who will be happy to sign autographs and pose for photographs.
"We are looking to make this more of a fun day/family day out this year," said Martin James, Shrewsbury Town's community development manager.
"We are looking for support from anyone who has access to fun activities or knows someone who has.
"We are going to use the Power League pitches for sports activities with the Community Trust and have the grass area next to it for a larger games areas."
Rounders and tug of war are both planned while the club are working on putting together a host of other attractions - and you can perhaps get involved.
"Any other activity we can source we will look to do," added Martin. "We're thinking along the lines of a climbing wall, wooden skittles, inflatables, small fairground rides.
"We will be seeking static displays which may include a fire engine and also stands from various supporter groups and charities as well as our commercial partners.
"We also have the option for acoustic music groups.
"We are not looking to pay for activities nor ask the public to pay as we want this to be a free event but the marketing possibilities are obvious.
"We expect between 2,000 to 3,000 people to come through the gates and parking will be free on site."
