Goals from Akwasi and Goldson give Town the win
Goals from Akwasi Asante, the striker on loan from Birmingham City, and defender Connor Goldson helped Town to a 2-0 win at Liverpool's development squad earlier today.
The game was played at the Premier League club's Academy's training ground.
"It was a really good work out and the pitch was excellent," said manager Graham Turner. "The facilities they have at Liverpool are very impressive."
Jon Taylor played despite being an injury doubt after waking with back pain this morning.
Town's next pre-season game is at home to Championship club Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
