Mascot opportunities proving popular

27 June 2013

Sign up for your preferred game as soon as you can

Friends and relatives of any potential Shrewsbury Town mascot this season are urged to book their preferred match as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Richard Hill, Town's commercial manager, said the chance to lead out the Town team against the likes of Wolves in September was already proving to be extremely popular.
"Now that the fixtures have been announced, the coming season suddenly seems even more real and closer than ever," said Richard.

"We have had a tremendous amount of interest in mascot opportunities, particularly for the home games against Wolves, Sheffield United, Coventry City and Port Vale.
"With numbers limited now is the best time to register your interest and take advantage of the exciting mascot package we have put together."
Being a mascot is always a memorable day for any youngster and the chance to be a Shrewsbury Town mascot has never been better.

This season's package will see all mascots receive a full replica kit, two match tickets, a year's membership of Lenny's Junior Supporters Club, a food and drink voucher and an autograph book to get the signatures of your favourite players.

They will receive a picture of themselves with the captains and match officials in the centre circle ahead of kick off after leading out the Shrewsbury team.

They will also be profiled in the match programme, receive a tour of the playing facilities, be introduced over the tannoy and also warm up on the Greenhous Meadow pitch.

Bookings are now being taken for mascot packages which cost just £99 per child plus VAT.

It is an ideal birthday gift or a special treat for any Shrewsbury Town supporting youngster.

"I've worked for a number of football clubs and they do charge considerably more than the price we've set," added Richard.
"We've incorporated a number of extra features to the previous mascot experience to create value for money.

"Youngsters will receive a full strip as soon as they sign up to be a mascot so if they want to be a mascot for a game later in the season they will receive a strip as soon as they are available."
