Shrewsbury Town's reformed women's football team hold their first training session tonight - and any female footballers aged 16 and over can get involved.
Training starts tonight (Tuesday) between 7.30pm and 8.30pm at the Greenhous Meadow.
The cost per session is £3 which will contribute towards the new club's running costs.
The team will be run through the club's Community Trust with experienced coaches involved.
"We are really excited about this," said Jenny Daniel, Shrewsbury Town's Community Development Officer. "The club used to be affiliated to a women's team but hasn't been involved with a side for quite a few years now.
"We feel the time is right to change that and I know there is a lot of footballing talent locally and many women and girls who love to play the game.
"This will be a community led initiative through the club's Community Trust and we are looking forward to welcoming players from around the county."
