Tom started out with Crewe's Academy
Tom Eaves is looking forward to returning to where it all began for him when he heads back to Crewe Alexandra with Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
The striker, on loan from Bolton Wanderers, was once an Academy prospect at Crewe, training with the Railwaymen up until the age of 14.
Then it was off to Oldham Athletic and, eventually, Bolton, for whom he recently signed a new three-year deal.
"I started off in the Crewe Academy when I was about seven or eight-years-old so it will be nice to go back there," said Eaves.
"They've got a nice Academy, a really good set up, and I think Dario Gradi is quite involved so it will be nice to see a few familar faces.
"The training at Crewe was always good, the education and the knowledge of learning the trade there, and it helped you develop as a player."
Eaves heads to Crewe as a man in form after his double strike for Town set up Tuesday's exciting 3-2 win at MK Dons.
"I was over the moon and I was just happy we managed to get the win," he said.
