Defender set to miss the Leyton Orient game

Loan defender Rob Edwards looks set to miss Saturday’s game with a quad muscle problem.

Rob, who renewed his loan spell at Town on Monday, tore the quad in training on Tuesday and now looks like he will be out of action for anywhere up to 4 weeks.

It comes as a blow to Graham Turner’s preparation for the important game with the O’s.  Jermaine Grandison continues his recovery from his hip problem but is still a few weeks away from match fitness so Yado Mambo is expected to come into the team to replace Edwards:”It’s a blow so soon after we had extended Rob’s loan to have him missing through a tear to his quad muscle.

“Rob had done well and added some much needed experience to the side so we will have to wait and see how bad it actually is.

“At times this season we haven’t had the best of luck with decisions and injuries and this is another example.”
