Recalled defender relishing tonight's clash
He's already played at stadium:mk in a high profile match this season and now Yado Mambo is determined to play his part in helping Shrewsbury Town earn a good result at the home of MK Dons tonight.
Mambo, recalled to the Town side for Saturday's 2-0 defeat against Leyton Orient, lined up against Karkl Robinson's Dons in an FA Cup second round tie in December while he was on loan to AFC Wimbledon from Charlton Athletic.
It was a clash which really captured people's imagination given the history of the two clubs involved with Mambo producing a fine display at the back as the League Two outfit were sunk by a late goal in losing 2-1 in front of a crowd of just under 16,500.
"It was a great game that day," said Mambo. "It's a nice stadium so it will be nice to go back there and hopefully this time we can get a result.
"Last time we lost but this time I'm going back with a diferent team, a different level, different circumstances, so hopefully we can go there and get a result and play well."
Mambo stressed confidence within the Town dressing room had not been affected by a run of three straight defeats which leaves Shrewsbury four points clear of the relegation zone.
"The atmosphere in the dressing room is fine," he said. "No-one's feeling sorry for themselves."
Mambo added he was pleased to be back in the side against Leyton Orient after getting the call from manager Graham Turner to replace the injured Rob Edwards.
"I've got my chance again so hopefully I can grab it and cement my place," he said. "I'm just happy to be back in the team."
