Youth's take County to extra time but beaten in the last minutes
Shrewsbury Town's hopes of reaching the Midland Youth Cup final were dashed in extra time this afternoon.
Locked together at 0-0 with Notts County at the end of 90 minutes, the Magpies ran out 2-1 winners after extra time at the Greenhous Meadow.
Town broke the deadlock when Scott Ryan fired low to the corner of the net from the edge of the box but County hit back to equalise and then grabbed the winner five minutes from time.
County will now meet Walsall in the final.
