Tickets all gone for England U21 v San Marino U21 at Greenhous Meadow
Shrewsbury Town supporters and football fans from the area are set to arrive at Greenhous Meadow in their droves for tomorrow night’s England U21 UEFA European Championship qualifier against San Marino after the last remaining tickets were snapped up earlier today.
The match is set to take place amidst an electric atmosphere after three stands had sold out during last week, with the remaining tickets in the Pro-Vision CCTV Stand being quickly sold off over the weekend and this morning to confirm a stadium sell-out for the prestigious international.
Kick-off is at 6pm tomorrow evening, Tuesday 19th November, and spectators are being urged to arrive early to avoid delays.
Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner has had his say on the international, and admits it’s a big plus for the FA to give the club such a positive backing.
“It’s a prestige thing,” said Turner.
“The tickets are now all sold so there’s going to be a good crowd. It’s a testimony because we’ve had the under 20’s down here two seasons ago against France and I think the fact that we’ve got another game here indicates that the FA were more than happy with the way the operation went and how the Club organised everything.
“We’ve gone from U20’s now to U21’s and I think that it’s a real big boost now to have a game here with the sort of quality of players that we’re going to see in the England set up.”
As of today, further car parking spaces have been made available for supporters to purchase on the stadium site. Spaces are priced at £5 per car and are available to purchase over the phone or in person at the ticket office.
Passes are NOT valid for Shrewsbury Town supporters who have car parking permits for the 2013/14 season.
The Meole Brace park & ride site will be open, offering a park & walk service to the ground, but Sutton Grange is believed to be closed.
