Shrewsbury Futsal lose out at hands of Hereford
Shrewsbury's Futsal team were beaten 9-3 by Hereford at the Birmingham Futsal Arena yesterday.
Having lost their opening two matches, coach Alex Ramsay decided to change the starting line up in the hope of hitting upon a winning formula.
But Shrewsbury, despite a promising start, were 5-1 down by half time, Charlie Warren grabbing the goal after exchanging passes with Jordan Davies.
Coach Ramsay gave some words of encouragement to his side at the break and freshened things up further to offer other players an opportunity to show what they could do.
Hereford surged 8-1 clear but Shrewsbury never gave up and, after Tom Swain rifled a shot to the top corner of the net, he played a neat through ball to Daniel Thorpe to score.
Hereford, though, had the final word with a ninth goal just before the end.
Man of the match for Shrewsbury was Harry Warren.
