Another win for Town's Ladies
Delighted Shrewsbury Town Ladies manager Sean Evans saluted the efforts of his in-form side after they eased to a 5-1 win at Leek in the Staffordshire County Women's League.
It was a second successive victory for the Town ladies following their County Cup triumph at Bridgnorth Spartans a week earlier.
"It's very pleasing the hard work the side has put in is starting to pay off," said Evans. "It was a good team performance on a small pitch but the team adapted very well to what was asked of them.
"Two wins has made a massive difference to confidence and we now want a third successive victory at Tamebridge on Sunday."
Town's goals at Leek were shared around with Olivia Minshall, debutant Hollie Deane, Grace Bithell, Natalia Alexander and Phoebe Meyrick, with a fine volley, all on target.
