Adam looking to build on Notts County victory

Adam Reach, Shrewsbury Town's weekend matchwinner, is setting his sights on a third successive Greenhous Meadow victory ahead of Oldham Athletic's visit tonight (7.45pm).

Town have collected maximum points from their two home outings this month, beating Sheffield United 2-0 before Reach's late goal secured a 1-0 triumph over Notts County on Saturday.

Now Reach, the winger on loan from Middlesbrough, wants more of the same against the Latics.

"Hopefully we'll get another good performance, hopefully three more points and we can just keep climbing that table," said Reach.

"Obviously against Oldham in the previous fixture we had with them here this season, we got thumped in the JPT, so hopefully we can get one over on them."

Reach was encouraged with Town's display in beating County last weekend, a result which lifted Shrewsbury up to 14th spot in the League One table, one place above Oldham.

He said it was just what the team needed following back-to-back away defeats at Walsall and Port Vale.

Reach added: "We had two very poor performances, we knew that, we didn't need anyone to tell us how poorly we had played.

"But it just shows the character in the dressing room that we can bounce back at the first opportunity.

"We passed it around well when we had to but we also had to dig in and do the dirty work sometimes and we did that very well.

"We stopped a lot of crosses coming in, a lot of shots, and broke up a lot of their play high up the pitch which is something the gaffer asked us to do.

"We showed quality when we had to as well."
