3-3 draw for Ladies at Newcastle
A spirited fightback from 3-1 down at half time enabled Shrewsbury Town Ladies to pick up a point from a 3-3 draw at Staffordshire League high fliers Newcastle.
Goals from captain Penny Owen, Pheobe Meyrick and Jess Mason ensured Town earned some reward.
"It was an excellent performance from the girls," said manager Sean Evans. "Being 3-1 down at half time was very harsh on the team as, in my opinion, we dictated large parts of the half.
"Second half we gave it a right go and I'm so pleased that we got what we deserved out of the game."
