Reach extended but Summers struggling

Reach stays on but Summers out for 2 weeks

There's good news and bad from Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner this morning.

He is happy to have extended the loan spell of Adam Reach from Middlesbrough but has revealed Luke Summerfield faces a couple of weeks out through injury.

GT said he was pleased to have reached agreement with Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray to keep England under-20 international winger Reach for a third month.

He added: "It was fairly straight forward. It was a setback obviously for Adam not to be in the starting line up last Saturday but he realises that he's had a lot of game time here.

"He had started the previous four games and had a good hour on the pitch at Bristol City so he's had some valuable Football League experience and there's more to come in the next month."

But there's not such good news on midfielder Summerfield who, having missed last weekend's 2-0 win over Gillingham through injury, could be missing for another couple of weeks.

GT revealed: "He's looking very doubtful for a couple of weeks. He's tweaked his groin so he certainly won't be in contention for Saturday."
