Level 2 diploma through Walford and North Shropshire College
The club have teamed up with Walford and North Shropshire College to present the Shrewsbury Town FC Futsal Scholarship for boys and girls.
Do you enjoy playing football? Do you want to develop your technical and tactical skills in futsal while still playing 11 a-side football for a local club of your choice?
Well, now you can combine playing futsal with studying a Level 2 diploma in sport or a Level 3 extended diploma in sport.
The college’s highly successful sports department have built a strong partnership with Shrewsbury Town dating back more than ten years.
Walford is home to the club’s Centre of Excellence and boasts England goalkeeper Joe Hart as one of its ex-students.
This summer the college successfully launched the first Futsal Academy in the county combining a full programme of futsal coaching delivered by Shrewsbury Town.
It also provides competitive matches at the impressive @Futsal Birmingham Hub, a Level 3 BTEC Sport qualification equivalent to three A levels and a Level 2 BTEC Sport qualification which is new for September 2014.
