Town sign Spanish striker

Spanish striker comes in on loan

Graham Turner has strengthened his attacking options by signing Huddersfield Town's Spanish striker Cristian Lopez on an initial month's loan.
Lopez, 24, signed a one-year deal with Huddersfield in the summer after a successful trial and made his Championship debut against Nottingham Forest in August.
He also appeared off the bench for the Terriers in last month's Capital One Cup defeat at Premier League Hull City.
Lopez left Spanish third tier side Atletico Baleares at the end of last season while his former clubs also include Real Madrid B and Valencia B.
Lopez, who is six-foot-one, will be available for Shrewsbury's home game against Gillingham on Saturday.

It’s good news for Graham Turner who has been looking to bolster his attacking options ahead of the Saturday’s game:”Technically Cristian is a good player, strong on the ball and highly regarded at Huddersfield.

“He can add that little bit of physical presence to our forward line, he’s just over 6 foot but is a very strong player.

“It gives a little lift to the squad ahead of another tough looking home game on Saturday.”
