Darren Jones excited by Wolves test

Shrewsbury Town defender Darren Jones is excited at the prospect of playing in front of a packed Greenhous Meadow as the countdown continues to Saturday's big clash with Wolves.

Jones, who produced a strong display on his return to first club Bristol City on Tuesday night, is fully aware just what a big game it is with the local derby element adding to the sense of occasion.

"It's going to be good," said Jones. "Even when there's 5,000 here our fans make a good noise so Saturday's going to be really good.

"It's going to be lively and I'm just hoping all the fans will get right behind us and give us that extra push.
"All derbies are important to the fans, but being Wolves and their background, where they've come from, it would be even a bigger win."

But Jones insisted he was trying to treat the visit of Kenny Jackett's side as just another game.

"It's another tough game but they all are so this is no different," he added. "It's a challenge every week and I'm not treating this game any different.

"I'm going to give them a bit of respect but not too much. It's just another game for me."
