Graham Turner is forced to make the one change with Jon Taylor serving his one ban, Dave Winfield returns from injury and moved to centre-back, Connor Goldson moved to right-back and Ryan Woods moves up to the right of midfield.

Town got off to the best start with a goal with just over a minute on the clock, it came after good work from Ryan Woods. He received the ball on the edge of the box with two Bradford players on his back but showed good strength to hold then off and then turn before delivering a great ball to the back post to find Reach, he nodded it back across the face of the goal and there was Tom Bradshaw with a great diving header to give Town the early lead.

Town were taking the game to Bradford at times and had a good shout for a penalty after Tom Bradshaw broke into the box after turning his marker and bursting in to the box only to be sent flying.

Nahki Wells always looked a threat for Bradford but when the ball dropped for Winfield he looked to have it covered, Wells though showed his pace and nicked it to win the ball be unfortunately Winfield caught the Bradford hotshot.  Wells stayed down and needed treatment, he came back on but only lasted a few minutes before he limped off and was replaced by Mark Yeates.

Town were doing well to neutralise Bradford attacks during the half and what Chris Weale had to deal with he did well.  At the other end Town were continuing to chip away at the Bradford defence and create chances.  Main did have the ball in the back of the net on 38 minutes after Goldson and Bradshaw combined well, Bradshaw drove in a shot that took a deflection and had McLaughlin back peddling, he didn't look comfortable but managed to get the ball ball in his hands but Main then gave him a little nudge to put him the Bradford in the back of the net, and pick up a yellow card for his troubles.

Bradford were kicking towards their fans in the second half and were hoping that the excellent vocal support would buoy them along, but it was Town who had the best early chance.  Town were awarded yet another free-kick, this time after Woods and then Wildig had been fouled, it was Darren Jones who was stood over the ball about 25 yards from goal and he smashed in a low drive which was inches wide of the target.

Town were continuing to look dangerous on the the attack and when Reach got the ball and drove forward Bradford looked stretched, he powered over the halfway line with options to the right and left, he cut inside and pushed a lovely ball into the run of Woods down the right who in turned curled an inviting ball to Bradshaw who hit a good shot on the run but it was into the side netting.

Town had restricted Bradford to any clear cut chances but with 15 minutes of the half gone they drew level, and it was from a good move.  Bradford found space down the right and this allowed them to cut inside and drill a ball across the Town penalty box, one player stepped over it and this created the space for Kyel Reid to smash the ball home.

This gave the home side and their fans a lift and they started their best attacking spell of the game, a ball over the top found James Hanson with a good run in on goal, Winfield was with him, as were Jones and Goldson, and when Hanson and Winfield tussled on the edge of the box the home side were calling for a penalty and a red card, in they end they got a free-kick and Winfield got a yellow card.

Town were creating their own problems as the ball wasn't sticking up front or a pass wasn't finding it's intended recipient.  This was meaning that Bradford were quickly regaining possession and once again putting the pressure onto the visitors who were having little respite from the Bradford attacks.

Town were to finish the game with 10 men after Dave Winfield picked up a second yellow card, some what harshly.  Bradford were building a good attack and found space 20 yards from the Town box, there was a long shot put in which hit Winfield's hand as he dived in, the ref blew for a foul and then produced a second yellow card to cut short Winfield's return to action.

Bradford's numerical advantage and pressure finally paid off with the last kick of the game when Town failed to clear the ball, it fell to Hanson who drove in a low shot that beat Weale's dive and hit the base of the post and rolled into the net to send the 14,000 home fans home happy.
