Aaron hoping Town can add to Bristol's problems

Aaron Wildig is hopeful Shrewsbury Town can add to Bristol City's early season problems at Ashton Gate tonight.

Wildig has been encouraged by Town's recent performance level which has seen them go four games unbeaten in League One with victory over Swindon followed by draws against Rotherham, Coventry and Crawley.

Now he's keen to start converting those draws into wins, beginning at the expense of a Bristol City side who have yet to collect three points in a game since the blow of relegation from the Championship.

"We can go there and win there," said Wildig, who scored Town's goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Crawley. "I don't think they have had the best of starts to the season and you've got to enjoy going to places like Bristol City which is a Championship size club.

"We should be going there and enjoying it, and thinking we can get a good result."

Wildig felt there were a number of positives to emerge from Town's latest display last weekend, stressing: "Getting a point was a good result but I thought we could have nicked it."

The former Cardiff City midfielder added: "We'll take confidence from it and the Crawley game was the start of a big week with three games.

"We just need to start converting draws into wins and get a move up the table."
