Jacko takes a look at the work being done with the youngsters
Manager Mike Jackson spent a couple of nights last week having a closer look at Shrewsbury Town's Academy and liked what he saw.
He knows the continued importance of a well run youth system and said he saw plenty of young talent being well coached.
He added: "I went to watch the Academy a couple of nights last week and was impressed with what I saw, the coaches and some of the kids that were there, the organisation.
"It just needs a little bit of tweaking in certain areas, but there was some good people working there which is good for the future.
"It was good to have a look at what's going on."
