Dave Mac out of action until the end of the season
Dave McAllister has been working hard to get back to fitness after picking up an ankle knock in the home win against Bradford City. He’s been progressing nicely until he had a setback lasts week and the club have received the results of a scan on the damaged ankle.
The news isn’t good as the scan revealed that Dave has a syndemosis tear which is a high ankle sprain and will take time to recover from.
It means that Dave won’t be back in action in a Town shirt this season which is another blow for manager Mike Jackson:”Dave is out for the season, we’ve just had the scan results back and it’s not good news.
“It’s been found that he’s got Syndesmosis which is a problem in his ankle and that will take some time to get over.
“He tried to push himself to get back fit but that’s part of his make-up, he’s the type who will run through brick walls for you.
“It is a blow for us losing him as he was doing great before he got injured but on the positive side we’ve just got Summers and Aaron back so there are options.”
