Capital One Cup draw hands Town trip to Leicester City
Town have been handed an away trip to Leicester City in the second round of the Capital One Cup.
Town saw off Championship side Blackpool on Tuesday evening thanks to a good performance and a Scott Vernon strike and will now travel the Premier League side.
In recent years Town have put in some good performances on the road in the cup at the likes of Derby County, Stoke City and at Arsenal.
Leicester are managed by popular ex Shrewsbury Town defender Nigel Pearson who played over 150 games for Town between 1981 and 1987.
The ties are scheduled to be played in the week commencing 25th August.
