Gaffer happy with home draw but focus is on Luton

Town manager Micky Mellon is pleased with the home draw against Norwich City in the Capital One Cup.

The tie is reward for Town’s good start to the competition which has seen them beat Championship side Blackpool and Premier League Leicester City.

The 3rd round ties are scheduled to be played the week commencing 22nd of September and Micky’s focus is firmly fixed on the weekend’s league game at home to Luton Town:”It is fantastic to have a home draw and to have a game like this for the fans is terrific.

“What it won’t do though is take away my focus on the first half against Luton as that is what we are preparing for.

“Once we get in at half-time against Luton we will prepare for the second half and these are the baby steps we are taking at this football club to move it forward.”
