Fans Parliament gets Approval……NOW HAVE YOUR SAY!!
Following a meeting on Thursday the 23rd January the fans of Shrewsbury Town have agreed to go ahead with the formation of a fans parliament.
Following this a further meeting has been arranged for Thursday 27th February to allow individual supporters to register as representatives to sit on Shrewsbury Town’s first fans Parliament. At this meeting membership will be agreed and officers appointed so as to put the body on a formal basis. Terms of reference and rules will also be confirmed as to what questions and issues should and will be raised with STFC. We hope once again that club will be represented by Supporters Liaison Officer Martin James.
We would like people to get in touch if they are interested representing a sections of the Shrewsbury Town fan base. We are looking for representatives of, but not limited to, the following groups:
Official Supporters club
SuperBlues
Shrewstrust
Blue and Amber
Any other supports groups not listed
Away Travel
West Stand
East Stand
South Stand
Disabled fans
Under 18’s
Concessions
Sovereign suite
Sponsors
Local Community
Season Ticket holder
Legends card holder
Any other group or organisation who wish to be represented.
The next meeting on the 27th will be open to all supporters to attend but once formal representatives are in place a more structured business approach will be adopted.
This is a massive step for the Shrewsbury Town fan base. As a trust we are very encouraged by the support given by the other supporters groups and also the fans not affiliated to any group. This is a chance for the whole STFC community to be represented. We now have an opportunity to strengthen the two-way communication channel between club and supporters by involving a much wider audience than previous fans forms have allowed.
