Players drop in on latest CST courses

Shrewsbury Town trio Tom Eaves, Dave McAllister, Dave Winfield delighted youngsters attending the Community Trust's latest football holiday coaching courses by dropping in to say hello.

The youngsters attending the course during the Christmas holidays quizzed the players on a series of topics before posing for a group picture on the Power League pitches next to the Greenhous Meadow.

Aiden Wassell, Shrewsbury Town community development officer, said "It was great for the players to come over and interact with the kids.

"It was great to see the kids wearing their Shrewsbury Town kits and having a chat with the players they watch week in week out - it was a great surprise for them."
Our next holiday course will start on Monday, February 17 and run through till Friday, February 21 on the Power League pitches.

It is open to both boys and girls aged between four and 14.

The course will operate from 9am-3pm at a cost of £18 per day or £65 for the week.

The cost to train from 10.30am-3pm is £14 per day or £50 for the week.

There is also a special time slot for players aged four where they can train 9am-noon at the cost of £10 per day or £35 for the week.

Sessions will be held outside on the Power League astroturf pitches so suitable trainers must be worn alongside PE/ football kit, shin pads. A change of clothes and a packed lunch should also be brought along.
