Boss happy to have landed Clark and Robinson

Micky pleased with new additions to the squad

Micky Mellon is pleased to have added to his squad after bringing in the experienced Andy Robinson and promising Jordan Clark.

The Shrewsbury Town manager said both players had impressed him while on trial.

He knows Clark well from their time together at Barnsley while he's equally excited to have brought in former Swansea, Leeds and Tranmere man Robinson.

Micky said: "Probably anybody who's been to watch us recently and has seen the two of them perform have seen what I've seen and the quality that they've got.

"Jordan is obviously somebody I know very well from my time at Barnsley. I think he's a fantastic footballer. He's shown that in his training and he's also shown that when he's taken part in the games.

"He's a fantastic age, has a great desire to be a top footballer, so I think we've acquired a very exciting young player.

"I know Robbo very well. The fans have seen him and I'm excited to have him here at the club.

"They are two really positive signings and two really exciting players to add to the group."

Micky said he is now very close to completing his busy summer of recruitment, adding: "There's probably one more that's been ongoing for a long time now."
