Midfield duo Aaron Wildig and Ryan Woods are in line to make their first appearances of pre-season for Shrewsbury Town in tonight's attractive friendly at home to Premier League West Bromwich Albion (7.45pm).
They sat out last weekend's 2-0 victory over Chesterfield but both came through training yesterday and are on course to feature against the Baggies at the Greenhous Meadow this evening.
Woods has recovered from illness while Wildig has shaken off a slight injury.
Manager Micky Mellon said: "Both trained yesterday so that's positive. Woodsy was ill over the weekend but trained yesterday and looked fine.
"Aaron Wildig also came through a full training session so that's positive.
"Dave McAllister joined in for probably about a third of the session so again that's another positive.
"But Jermaine Grandison phoned in ill yesterday morning so didn't train. We seem to have a bit of a bug at the moment with Woodsy and now Jermaine so we'll keep an eye on that."
