Ant and Phil Thomas to play 100 holes of golf

Shrewsbury Town fans Ant and Phil Thomas are entering into a mammoth golf marathon this coming Monday to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.

The duo, have set themselves the task of playing 100 holes at the notoriously undulating Pinner Hill Golf Club in North-West London. They will both be carrying their bags (c. 15kg each) and walking the whole way round – the distance is likely to be in excess of 50km, with the first round starting at 4-40am and not a golf buggy in site!

Ant, also the manager of the STFC Supporters football team said “MacMillan cancer support is a charity we both believe very strongly in given a number of members of friends and family have had, or are living with cancer. This is our chance to raise some money to help the fight in finding better treatment and ultimately a cure”.

Donations can be made online at www.justgiving.com/fatandnarrowhead/ and any amount donated will be a huge help.
