Championship side set to visit Greenhous Meadow
Championship club Watford will make their first visit to the Greenhous Meadow for a pre-season friendly against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, July 19 (3pm).
It will be the third home game in quick succession for Micky Mellon's new-look side who also have Meadow friendlies arranged against League 1 Chesterfield on Saturday, July 12 and Premier League West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday, July 15.
Watford have not played at the Greenhous Meadow before and their last visit to the Gay Meadow was in 1996 when Town won 1-0.
The Hornets finished 13th in the Championship last season.
