The pre-season training gets underway with the players back at the GM
The summer break is over for the players after they returned to the Greenhous Meadow to start pre-season training.
The new faces and old faces were back in the changing room and after the introductions it was down to work.
Weights and measurements were taken, Dave the Kitman was handing out the new training kit and everyone got together for their first meeting.
Micky Mellon and his coaching staff have all had an input into the programme and it’s one that the Town manager believes will give his side the best chance of being ready for the kick-off.
“I’m very much into making sure everyone plays their part and that is why they are here”, said Micky.
“I trust my staff to get on with what they do and I have designed what I believe is a very thorough pre-season that will get the players fit.”
“Everything will have a purpose, we get the footballs out when we can with the ultimate aim of making sure the players are ready for the start of the season.”
