Micky believes James Wesolowski will a big hit a Town
Mickey Mellon believes Australian midfielder James Wesolowski will become a big fans' favourite at Shrewsbury Town.
The Greenhous Meadow manager beat off competition from a number of clubs to sign Oldham Athletic's player of the year on a two-year deal with an option of an extra 12 months.
Mickey sold his vision to Wesolowski who was delighted to pledge his future to Shrewsbury.
He said: "I went to Leicester to meet him and tell him about the vision of the football club.
"We told him about the direction that we wanted to go in and how we wanted to do that, the job I wanted him to do for me and the role I wanted him to play in that.
"There was a lot of suitors, a lot of other clubs that wanted to sign him because he's a good footballer and a good player. I'm sure he will be a big fans' favourite here.
"When he realised that we were very clear in what we wanted to do, I think it became very attractive to James and we're delighted to get him on board."
