Manager wants the fans to continue to be impressed with new faces

Micky Mellon is pleased that his rebuilding programme at the Greenhous Meadow is exciting Shrewsbury Town supporters.

He has already brought in eight signings with Ashley Vincent, Nathaniel Knight-Percival, Mark Ellis, Mickey Demetriou, James Collins, Jayson, Leutweiler, Mark Halstead and James Wesolowski all arriving in his first month in charge.

More will follow as he puts together a squad capable of playing the brand of football he wants.

"That's good," said the manager on being told of the excitement of supporters. "I want them to be impressed because I promised them when I first came in that I was going to put a team together they would be proud of and would feel represents them properly.

"I will continue to do that and try and get that right and hopefully keep bringing players in that excite them and play a brand of football that makes them enjoy their Saturday and Tuesday nights.

"We'll continue working hard at trying to achieve that."
