Jermaine hoping for team to build on Wolves result

Shrewsbury Town defender Jermaine Grandison is in a positive frame of mind ahead of tonight's important game at Colchester United.

Town have lost just one of their last six matches and took a lot of confidence from Saturday's impressive 0-0 draw at League One leaders Wolves.

Grandison said: "The manager's really positive, all the lads are being positive as well so you can't ask for any more really. We've just got to go and get the results in games now.

"It was a good point at Wolves but we need three points now against Colchester and then Saturday's game as well.

"It's a very important month for us because we're playing teams that are in and around us so we need to definitely pick up a few wins and not lose really."

Grandison added he was pleased to get 90 minutes under his belt at Molineux and said he's fit and raring to go again tonight against 17th placed Colchester who are five points above Town in the table.

"It was really good that I did get the full 90 minutes because it's put me in good stead for tonight if I'm involved," he said.

"I'm just looking forward to the game now and hopefully we can go there and get three points."

Grandison added playing Wolves in front of a crowd of over 24,000 at the weekend was enjoyable.

He said: "It was a very good experience. We worked really hard all game. The set up we had with our formation worked really well and I thought it was a really good result.

"We defended well and stopped them getting clear chances."
