Shaun looking to build on dream start to Town career

Last weekend's matchwinner Shaun Miller wants to build on Shrewsbury Town's 2-1 fightback win against Bradford City in tonight's key clash at fellow bottom four side Carlisle United.

Miller, signed on loan from Sheffield United until the end of the season, could not have announced his arrival at the Meadow any better when he came off the bench to grab the winner deep into stoppage time.

"It was a great feeling to get the winner in the last minute and, most importantly, the three points," said Miller, 26. "I literally came in for the game to be on the bench and it was a bonus to get on. To get the winner topped off a good day."

Miller only met his new team mates in the dressing room ahead of the Bradford game but he already knew Dave McAllister and goalkeeping coach Danny Coyne from their time together at Sheffield United.

He said: "I met all the other lads in the dressing room before the game and everyone was sound so it was nice to introduce myself with a goal so hopefully there's a few more."

Miller added he was raring to go after finding first team chances hard to come by at Bramall Lane recently.

"I've been fully fit for a while," he said. "Last season I was hampered by injuries around the Christmas period but I'm back fully fit now and ready to play some games.

"It's ideal to come and play some games and hopefully get Shrewsbury out of the relegation zone with a few more wins."

Miller and his team mates are now gearing up for tonight's long trip to Carlisle, with the striker fully aware of the importance of the match.

He added: "There's some massive games coming up against all the teams around us so it's a great opportunity to overtake the teams each time we're playing them.

"It was a great three points on Saturday and we can go to Carlisle with a lot of confidence and look to get three points - then we'll be climbing the table."
