Experienced forward joins in time for the Bradford City game
Mike Jackson has confirmed that experienced forward Shaun Miller has joined on loan from Sheffield United in time to be in the squad for the Bradford City game.
Miller progressed through the youth ranks at Crewe Alexandra and made his debut as an 18 year old in Crewe’s FA Cup game against Bradford City.
He moved to Sheffield United in the summer of 2012 and after a bright start to his career with the Blades he damaged knee ligaments which kept him out of action for a while. He’s been back in the Blades squad this season and was on target in their FA Cup win away to Fulham in February.
The news is a boost for Jacko as he looks to his side to start scoring the goals which will take them out of the Sky Bet League 1 relegation places:”Shaun has good experience at this level and is just what we’ve been looking for to add to our forward line.
“He picked up an injury that kept him out at the start of the season but has been involved at Sheffield this season and scored their winner in their FA Cup game at Fulham.
“He has played a lot of games during his time at Crewe and at Sheffield United, he can score goals but also can create them.
“It’s a real boost to have someone of Shaun’s calibre in the squad for these important last games.”
