Mike Jackson makes two changes to the side with Ryan Woods coming in for the injured Dave McAllister, the weekend's goal hero Shaun Miller comes into the starting line-up with Sam Foley dropping to the bench. On the bench there is a new names with 16 year old first year scholar Niall Flint joining the first team squad for the first time.
It was a pretty cagey opening 10 minutes with neither side creating much in the way of goalmouth action, until 10 minutes when a corner came to Meppen-Walter, he hit a snap shot which smashed into the Town bar but luckily for the visitors the ball flew back down field. Moments later it was Carlisle again who were having the better of the chances with first a shot which came back off the bar and then Anyon was there to save the rebound.
As the clock ticked on Town started to get more into the game and use their possession a lot better to take the game to the hosts. Eaves was making himself busy and being a handful for the Carlisle defence, he though needed to be a little better when the ball came to him to allow Town to build a little quicker.
It was Joe Anyon who was being the busier of the keepers and he was dealing well with what was coming his way, quick off his line when the ball got in behind the defence and safe hands with the Carlisle forwards got any shots in on his goal.
Tom Eaves created Town's best chance when he received the ball out wide, nothing was on for a pass so he drove in on goal and hit a low drive to the near post but Pickford in the Carlisle goal was alert and pulled of a good block at his near post.
Town were forced into a change with 37 minutes on the clock, Jermaine Grandison had earlier signalled to the bench that he had a problem and a few minutes later went to ground, there was a bit of shouting from the crowd and a few words from Redmond to Grandison who had a word back, then followed a bit of a heated discussions between the players and coaches and then Aaron Wildig came on to replace Grandison, Ryan Woods dropped to right-back and Wildig went into the centre of midfield.
The half finished with chances for both sides, firstly Town had a chance after Wildig played a lovely ball into the back post to find the run of Parry, he headed back across goal to find Taylor he didn't connect cleanly but still pulled out a decent stop from Pickford. Then Carlisle went up the other end to find the space to get in behind the Town defence, the ball found Guy but he put the ball over the bar from close range.

Town had a great chance to grab the lead with 6 minutes of the second half gone, good work by Eaves down the right saw him cross to Taylor, he had a shot that was saved, the rebound dropped to Wildig who seemed to lose the flight of the ball and when he got it down his shot was into the side netting. Then Carlisle had a quick break which saw Joe Anyone pull off another good block.
With just over 10 minutes of the half gone Mike Jackson made a double change with Sam Foley and Bahrudin Atajic on to replace Paul Parry and Shaun Miller as Town looked to get on the score sheet.
Carlisle were starting to put more pressure on the Town goal but the visitors were defending well, Mills was in the right place for an important header at the back post when Carlisle looked likely to score and with a few Carlisle shots going wide of the target the score remained 0-0.
It was still an open game with nether side really getting on top, Carlisle were having the better of the chances but luckily for Town the home sides finishing was a little wayward with shots going wide of the target rather than testing Joe Anyon.
In the end the second half was the more exciting on the two with both sides really going for it, but both just lacked that little bit of composure around the goal so it's a share of the points.
