Upcoming football courses at the Greenhous Meadow and Wem
Shrewsbury Town's Community Sports Trust are taking bookings for their popular football courses for the May half term school holidays to be held in Shrewsbury and Wem.
Courses will be held at the Power League pitches next to the Greenhous Meadow and also at Wem Cricket Club from Tuesday, May 27 to Friday, May 30.
The cost of the Shrewsbury course which runs daily from 9am to 3pm is £18 while if you book a place for all four days there is a discounted rate of £55.
Shorter time slots are available at a cost of £10 per day (£30 for four days) from 9am-noon or £14 per day ((£40 for four days) from 10.30am-3pm.
It is open to boys and girls between the ages four to 14, with beginners and advanced groups.
The Wem course will run daily from 10.30am-3pm for £14 each day or £40 for all four days. It is open to boys and girls aged from five to 14 and there will again be beginners and advanced groups.
There will also be a girls only course at the Power League on May 27 and 28 between 10.30am-3pm at a cost of £14 per day or £20 for both days.
The Shrewsbury courses will be on astro turf and the Wem sessions will be held on grass.
There is the chance to win medals, trophies and football while the man aim of the courses is to build confidence, improve and develop individual skills and an understanding of positional and team play in a FUN and SAFE environment.
