Striker confident of another home win

Striker James Collins is confident that Shrewsbury Town can continue their near-perfect league home form when they return to Sky Bet League 2 action on Saturday.

Town will be looking to stretch their unbeaten run in the league to seven games when they welcome Mansfield Town to Greenhous Meadow (3pm kick-off).

Micky Mellon's side have won seven of their last eight games on home soil, drawing the other one, and Collins is happy with how things have been going recently.

"It is what we set out to do at the start of the season," said Collins.

"Our home form needs to be spot on as we need to make the Greenhous Meadow a fortress, and so far its been brilliant and we need to continue that on Saturday."

Collins has scored seven goals for Town so far this season but he has already got his eyes set on other targets.

"I think if you get to double figures by christmas your doing very well, so if i can manage to do that I will be on track," he said.

"It's also good that we have competition. Competition is healthy for the strikers as it keeps us on our toes, and at the moment it's good that we're all scoring and doing well for the team."
