Goalkeeper concentrating on Saturday onlyGoalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler says he's feeling fit and ready for Shrewsbury Town's trip to Exeter City on Saturday - and his focus is only on the game at St James Park.
Town travel to the South West for the weekend fixture (3pm kick-off) looking to making it seven straights win in Sky Bet League 2 and edge closer to the top of the table - they could even move top as well.
Leutwiler suffered an injury problem in the FA Cup 2-2 draw at Walsall recently but has been back playing ever since, and the Swiss stopper is keeping his concentration on the game against the Grecians.
"Every game is different," said Leutwiler, speaking at the RAF Shawbury visit.
"We need to be ready for everything and that's what we're going to do.
"You need to go game for game, that's how we work here.
"The next game is Exeter and that's the game we're going to be concentrating on.
"We need to concentrate from game to game and what happened last week is not interesting now.
"My back is very well at the moment. I recovered very quickly from the injury against Walsall in the first game."
Despite Town's FA Cup First Round replay win over Walsall on Tuesday night - a 1-0 victory at the Greenhous Meadow - Leutwiler insists the team must not look back or too far ahead.
"Whatever is happening next week or whatever happened last week doesn't matter," he said.
And the 25-year-old is enjoying the competition with his fellow goalkeepers in training.
"In every club I've been to there's a goalkeeper clique - you need that," said Leutwiler.
"It's a different position but we are a part of the team as well. We like to have a joke between ourselves.
"It's a hard situation (for Mark Halstead) but he trains very hard every day which makes it more difficult for me, because if I see him training good then I must train better than him."
