Mascot Packages Proving Popular

7 November 2014

Number of first time mascots is on the increase

Once again this season the Shrewsbury Town mascot package has been as popular as ever with an increase in the number of first time mascots, and returning mascots living their dream in leading out their Shrewsbury Town heroes.

With an unbeaten run in the league, and narrowly missing out to Chelsea in the 4th Round of the Capital One cup, it really goes to show how important it is we have our “lucky mascots”.

Availability ahead of Christmas is rapidly running out, with Mansfield, and Burton already fully booked and Morecambe having limited space, meaning that anyone thinking of treating that young Town fan in their life to the Shrewsbury Town mascot package for Christmas, is advised to do so, to avoid disappointment.

The mascot package offers a unique experience that will live long in the memory of not just the mascot, but the attending family – We spoke to Rose McGinnes who was our lucky mascot and saw us run out  2-1 winners against Cheltenham Town.

Hi Rose,
Which game were you mascot for?
Cheltenham this season, and Preston last season.

and did you enjoy it?
Yes, I did, it was fantastic

If you can, could you tell us all what you did on your day as mascot (Where you went, who you saw etc)
I arrived at the stadium and met a lady called Trish, and she let me in to the stadium through the players entrance. I then went on to the pitch and played football with the other mascots. After that I went into the players dressing room, and met all of the STFC team. They signed autographs and I had lots of pictures taken with them. I then went back on to the pitch and played football again. When it was nearly time for kick off, I went into the players tunnel and led the STFC team out. We then shook hands with the match officials and the Cheltenham team. Finally I stayed to watch the match. Phew

What was your favourite part of the day?
Being allowed to play football on the pitch.

Would you ever like to return as a mascot? And would you recommend it to your friends?
Yes, of course! Definitely

What other comments on the day would you or your parents like to make?
I'm glad I was a mascot, it was lovely and fun.

Rose had a fantastic afternoon being a mascot, she was looked after really well by the staff and was made to feel welcome by all of the STFC team.

At Shrewsbury Town Football Club, we offer an extensive package, which we feel helps contribute to creating a lasting memory, for both the attending adults, and of course, the mascot themselves. For £125, the mascot will receive the following

•    A Shrewsbury Town Replica Kit
•    2x Complimentary Match Tickets
•    A tour of the playing facilities
•    Meet the players and coaches
•    Have your photo taken with the players, and get their autographs
•    Have a kick-about on the hallowed Greenhous Meadow Pitch prior to kick off
•    Have your photo taken with the captains, fellow mascots and Lenny
•    A years membership of the Junior Shrews supporters Club
•    Plus a host of memories.

If however, the mascot already has a current STFC kit, the cost of the package is then reduced to £75, while still receiving the above benefits, omitting the kit.

There are also special discounted package prices available for any mascots who are attending along side a sibling / relation, for any mascots attending a game falling on a Tuesday evening, and for returning mascots.

Anybody interested in signing up for a Shrewsbury Town mascot package, can call in at the Shrewsbury Town Club Shop, and speak to Simon, call 01743 289177 or email clubshop@shrewsburytown.co.uk
