When Portsmouth took the lead from the penalty spot with less than two minutes on the clock it looked like it would be a tough afternoon for Town.
Wesolowski levelled within 10 minutes and after that Town stepped up their game.
A second half goal from Goldson saw Town get their noses in front and take the three deserved points.
